IHP GmbH - Leibniz-Institut für innovative Mikroelektronik - Circuit Design

IHP is an institute of the Leibniz Association and conducts research and development of silicon-based systems and high-frequency circuits and technologies including new materials. It develops innovative solutions for application areas such as wireless and broadband communication, security, medical technology, industry 4.0, automotive industry, and aerospace. IHP employs approximately 330 people. It operates a pilot line for technological developments and the preparation of high-speed circuits with 0.13/0.25 μm BiCMOS technologies, located in a 1000 m² class 1 cleanroom.

Internship/Master Thesis “Radar Baseband Board Development”

Aufgabenbeschreibung:

  • You will work closely with a team of scientists of the department Circuit Design
  • The working group mm-Wave Wireless (MMWW) is working on the design of integrated radar sensors
  • Your research will focus on the development of a baseband board with hard- and software components as well as the verification of its functionality using an FMCW radar system
  • It can be chosen individually due to preferences and possibilities between an internship or writing your master thesis

Erwartete Qualifikationen:

  • Studying Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Extended experience in the field of multi-layer PCB design with various CAD design software tools
  • Proficiency in designing analog and mixed-signal circuits
  • Fundamental knowledge in microcontroller programming with C/C++
  • Basic experience of signal processing
  • Very good oral and written skills in English

Unser Angebot:

Do research in a challenging, multinational environment, with excellent career prospects. You will have the opportunity to work together with experienced scientist at the forefront of high tech. More information about our scientific excellence and the working environment at IHP can be found on our website.

IHP seeks to incorporate more women into the science field. Therefore women are strongly encouraged to apply. Disabled applicants, qualified according to the above criteria, will be given preference over other candidates with equivalent relevant qualifications.
