Work­ing field:

Within the frame­work of the Ber­lin Elec­tron Micro­scopy Net­work (Ber­linEM Net­work, mutual DFG pro­ject of HU Ber­lin and TU Ber­lin), we are look­ing for a postdoc as full-time job within the pro­ject from 1/1/2017 until 31/12/2019. The postdoc per­forms TEM based elec­tron holo­graphy exper­i­ments and cor­res­pond­ing data recon­struc­tions for map­ping elec­tro­static poten­tials of semi­con­duct­ors, exper­i­ments using poten­tial con­trast in a SEM, as well as coordin­a­tion and exe­cu­tion of user requests and estab­lish­ing sci­entific links for (holo­graphic) invest­ig­a­tions of semi­con­ductor samples by the Ber­linEM Net­work. Exper­i­ments will be car­ried out using our state-of-the-art elec­tron micro­scopes.


Suc­cess­ful can­did­ates must have com­pleted a uni­versity degree (Dip­lom, Mas­ter, or equi­val­ent) and PhD degree on phys­ics or mater­ial sci­ences. Expert­ise in the above-men­tioned sci­entific areas (espe­cially elec­tron micro­scopy and semi­con­ductor char­ac­ter­iz­a­tion) is required as well as skills and com­pet­ences in organ­iz­a­tion and main­tain­ing sci­entific net­works.
