VR/AR Frontend Software Developer (w/m/d)
Combining the latest developments in geological modelling with Augmented Reality holographic technology, the goal of the FARMIN project is to create a spatially-aware collaborative solution
that allows professionals to visualize and interact with geological and geophysical data and models in the field. The in-situ holographic view of data and models offers a new level of immersion and reception with huge advantages for communication of very complex scenarios. Continuous ground-truthing, on-the-fly data integration and probabilistic machine learning approaches will help reduce geological uncertainty for improved decision making. You will be in charge of front-end pipeline, this includes for instance: (i) managing the client side of the solution, (ii) UI design and development, (iii) rendering fidelity and (iv)multi-devices optimizations.
Applicants must have a doctorate/Ph.D. or equivalent.
We look for an outstanding candidate with proven knowledge in programming and computer graphics. University qualifications in the fields of computer science and/or earth science will be highly weighted. Excellent written and spoken English language skills are a requirement.
