Based in Berlin, Audible is looking for a Working Student – Data Science (m/f)
As a Data Scientist, you will be a member of an interdisciplinary research team of Data Scientists responsible for modeling in many business areas, including but not limited to Customer: segmentation, care, acquisition, retention, engagement, propensity, and value; Product: simulation, testing, and evaluation; Content: acquisition, pricing, valuation, and recommendation.
You have a passion for building models based on big data and its supporting technologies and platform components. You will be an enabler for cutting edge modeling efforts, passionate about accessing, moving, and processing terabytes of data in a performant, scalable, fault-tolerant way, and will display your strong problem-solving ability under different settings (e.g. development, test, production, …)

Passion for data (and fearlessness in the face of a data tsunami), coding, modeling, research design and cutting-edges algorithms.
Programming languages: Python, Scala, R, (complete fluency in at least one in decreasing order of preference).
Proficient in Linux and shell scripting
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken skills
Self-driven and motivated to learn and explore
You must be enrolled in a first degree study course (1st Bachelor or 1st Master) at a German university to fulfill the working student criteria.
Exposure to AWS, Spark a plus
Exposure to advanced software engineering environments (version control, command line…) a plus
Exposure to Agile way of working a plus
You are proficient in SQL / ETL, with hands-on experience in a business environment
You are enrolled in computer science / engineering / mathematics / statistics or similar university programs and have at least one year of your studies left
