The department "Designing and Engineering - Composite Structures" researches and teaches at the Institute of Civil Engineering of the TU Berlin. Research focuses on hybrid construction with timber, concrete, steel and FRP.
Supervision of Bachelor's degree courses in Civil Engineering (eg basic project)
Supervision of courses of the Master program civil engineering (for example building construction II, surface structures I, design seminar and colloquia)
Execution of exercises and courses, as well as the supervision of Bachelor, Master and study papers
Planning and execution of (international) excursions
Collaboration in research and administration (supervision and guidance of student employees)
Research in the field of structural engineering with a focus on hybrid constructions with concrete
Organization and administration of the teaching company
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the field of civil engineering with in-depth knowledge in structural engineering is required. Very good knowledge of German is necessary for the unobstructed, technical language correct teaching. Desired: above-average commitment to teaching and research; independent scientific method of working; strong communication and team skills; problem-solving thinking and, furthermore, interest in interdisciplinary work in the fields of construction and architecture as well as related technical sciences.
Good English language skills are desired.
