Research assistant – 0.6667 working time – 1st qualification phase for doctorate

Your responsibility:

  • Coworking in research activities at the area of solid state and materials chemistry with the goal of qualification
  • Main research focus: Synthesis and characterisation of oxide, oxoanionic and nitride solids
  • Teaching duties under the obligations of the subject areas described above

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in chemistry, with the focus on solid state chemistry, is required
  • Experience in the field of synthesis and characterisation of inorganic solids is essential (demonstrated by at least one qualification thesis in this subject area)
  • Basic experience in the field of X-ray characterisation of inorganic solids is essential
  • Experience in handling reactive gaseous components is essential
  • Excellent written and spoken German language skills are essential to perform teaching duties, among other things, good command of English
  • Experience in the synthesis and characterisation of oxide, oxoanionic or nitride solids is desirable
  • ln-depth knowledge in the field cf Rietveld refinement and single-crystal X-ray structure analysis is also desirable
