The chair of "Information Systems Engineering (ISE)" under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Tai teaches and conducts research in the area of quality-driven, continuous engineering of future-oriented distributed software systems, with a focus on cloud-native platforms and applications, blockchain technologies and innovations, and privacy engineering.

Research Assistant - salary grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Working field:

In the innovation and validation project "ZoKratesPlus" within the BMBF program VIP+, we validate the
"ZoKrates" technology developed at the ISE chair for verifiable off-chain computations for blockchain-based key business applications. ZoKrates enables developer- friendly programming of zero knowledge proofs in smart contracts, supporting scalability of and privacy in blockchain-based systems.

We are looking for a research assistant (d/m/w) for
  • Innovative research in the area of blockchain applications and applied knowledge-free evidence.
  • Management and operational execution of the innovation and validation project and accompanying community-building activities
  • Scientific dissemination of results at national and international conferences and workshops.

The opportunity to do a doctorate is given and explicitly encouraged.

The project-related knowledge transfer and the subject-specific exchange with renowned partners in industry and science, also within the framework of ongoing national and European lighthouse projects in the field (e.g. in the project family "GAIA-X 4 Future Mobility" or also in the new EU Horizon Programme) are also tasks within the innovation and validation project "ZoKratesPlus".

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering/Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team, independent working style, high motivation
  • Very good knowledge of the German and English language
  • Knowledge of blockchain technologies and applications
  • Knowledge in applied cryptography is an advantage
  • Methodological competence in the field of innovation management and for validation activities are an advantage
