The Process Dynamics and Operations Group is looking for a new colleague for participation in an
exciting new DFG-funded research project which focuses on the investigation of mass transfer phenomena on structured surfaces. Within the scope of the project, masstransfer (concentration fields) and momentum transfer (velocity fields) will be measured simulataneously by means of PLIF (planar laser induced fluorescence) and µStereoPIV (particle image velocimetry).
Planning and conducting measurement campaigns
Further development of the experimental facility
Evaluation and analysis of the measurements
The department is based in chemical engineering, but candidates from other engineering disciplines or backgrounds are always welcome. Regarding the described position, we are interested in colleagues with the following qualifications and Interests:
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in a suitable discipline (Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar) is a must
Excellent knowledge in chemical engineering, particularly on fluid dynamics is expected
We are a very international team. Hence, good language skills in German and/or English are required as well as the willingness to acquire missing language skills.
Ideally you provide experience on film flows and other transport phenomena
Ideally you provide experience on experimental research, specifically on uStereoPIV and PLIF
Autonomous, well organized applicants are preferred
